Qualities of a good boss

By Mauro Libi.- The success in business and as a boss, depends on a good part of the mentality of whom practice the functions when a decision is about to be made and instruct their work team to achieve the programmed objectives for a positive result.

There are secrets and features that can put us in the ranking of bosses with the successful mentality, achievement and leadership.

     1. - Manage is serving not ruling
Bosses are looking for workers to do exactly what they are ordered to do. They know about any insubordination and they create environments where the individual initiative is limited. When we are successful bosses we collaborate with a general direction and we commit to get the resources that workers need to do their work. Also, we share decisions with the work team and we let them to design their own rules. We intercede only when is necessary.

     2. - Workers are coworkers
Some bosses make the mistake to see their workers with inferiority and considerer them immature. So that’s why workers act depending on their bosses charge. Workers only worry about for their work to do and take care of their job.

Meanwhile, successful bosses treat them (workers) like if they were the most important people in the business. The excellence should be good everywhere, for this reason workers do a better job for them, their bosses and the company.

     3. - Motivation born from a vision
Bad bosses use the “lose the job” fear, look foolish or the loss of privileges. As a result, workers usually stop and avoid making risk decisions even, when these can be crucial for the company survival.

Workers make good job when their bosses motivate them to inspire them to see better future and how can we be part of it. We allow them to focus on the organizations goals and enjoy what they do.

     4. - The change is part to the development
Transformations are perceived by directives as a combination and as a threat used only when the company need it as an alternative. However, when we are successful bosses we considerate that the change is part of life by knowing that success is possible only if the workers and organizations take new ideas and forms to do business in a combine and pleasant way.

Mauro Libi Crestani: How to prevents mental overload?

A leading psychologist claims whistling or singing helps distract the mind from trying too hard and prevents mental overload. Wow! The Dwarfs were right!  Whistling while you work makes you do your job better . The seven dwarfs knew from positive attitude and they knew how to get things done and enjoy it. They also knew the secret to staying calm. Far from being down to 'just nerves' , choking up  occurs when the brain finds itself with too many pieces of information to process, resulting in 'paralysis by analysis', argues Dr Sian Beilock of the University of Chicago. The same holds true when presenting a vital sales pitch, making an important golf putt or doing an acting audition. So you do not want to choke up and lose that sale, that golf game or that acting job, then  maybe you need to  whistle while you work.     Not just whistling. When you’re humming, singing, or laughing, it’s also difficult to be stressed. It puts...
