Mauro Libi: Is it multitasking impossible?




    


 People generally can’t do two activities at once, some think that in the case of multitasking the subject operates differently. Yes, there are those who believe that in the business world it is possible to be a multitasker. How can they say this if they are not able to talk on the phone and eat at the same time? Simply because they argue that these are totally different issues. They consider those who think that, indeed, it is necessary to put all the attention in the task that is done to make it with efficiency.

     It should be noted that the definition of multitasking came with computers and these are designed so that the microprocessor can be interrupted when a more important task is required before completing the process that was initially being carried out. Processors can do a second task while waiting for the user to provide some information, which is multitasking. Currently many devices have multitasking capabilities because they have multiple processors that facilitate parallel activities.

     In the work environment, people act in the same way when both entrepreneurs and workers interrupt low-priority tasks to engage in more important things all the time. This is multitasking and this, preserve the defense of this position, always improves the performance at any management or organizational level. It is common to see how managers that work on a minor report interrupt their work to attend the call of a worker who requires a decision in the face of an unforeseen event. In the end, both tasks will have been carried out.

     This happens every time in companies and can’t be called otherwise than multitasking by increasing productivity and business performance, say those who maintain this position They point out that multitasking shouldn’t be confused with neglect of work or distraction.
