Casa Hogar al Fin celebrates its 9th anniversary




Help children at risk situation

     The "Casa Hogar al Fin" foundation celebrates its 9th anniversary, with a series of activities designed to recreate the children and stand out the praiseworthy work they do by providing assistance to children at risk situations. Their program includes recreational, sports and musical activities, the board of directors of this non-profit organization, located in Caraballeda, Vargas state, offers children who live there, a different week to their everyday life reminding that they are the result of a private effort and the commitment assumed by the Industria Procesadora de Cereales, Inproceca, and its Avelina oatmeal brand.

     Mauro Libi Crestani, president of Inproceca, shared with the 27 children who currently live in this space, whose ages range from 1 to 16 years old. "Every year, it adds to the management of this Casa Hogar. Is a pride for us and the commitment ratification that we assume with every child. Here, we have seen the growth of young people whose life history could have been different from not having found a place where they could receive adequate care, as medical, educational and affective, which is part of our mission. Today, we can say that in this house are forming young people who will build a future for the country, " Libi Crestani said.

     As part of the celebration, former football player Angelo Felice made a donation of balls and uniforms to the small lovers of that sport discipline. They also had the presentation of the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Caraballeda, belonging to the National Orchestras System, in which some members of this Casa Hogar live as part of the complementary and recreational activities they have. "We designed Casa Hogar al Fin as a space that could be seen by these children as a true home, we became a family to them after have been in a situation of abandonment in their natural homes, until they can be in a substitute household in accordance with what is established by the law. Meanwhile, their stay in the house guarantees that the construction of their future is positive; that is our commitment, “Mauro Libi explained.

     Since its creation, the “Casa Hogar al Fin” foundation has served more than 146 male children who have been abandoned by their parents and, consequently, are at risk situation. Most of these cases have been placed in new homes following the current legislation, although there are cases of 12 young people who came of age inside the organization, and who continue to have a home space as their own home, while doing university studies and incorporate to the labor field.
