Mauro Libi Crestani: Can a positive attitude help you with public speaking ?

You have been asked to give a speech. The idea of speaking in front of a group of people terrifies you.  The last time you spoke, your knees were shaking as well as your voice. You heard your voice echo in your own ears loudly and your audience were so quiet that you could hear s pin drop. You saw all their eyes on you and they were judging you.  You hated having to talk publicly and promised yourself that you would  never put yourself through that again.

Now think, what got you so nervous? Oh, it was because your not a good speaker? Is that what it is? Somehow, you were a good enough speaker to get a spouse to marry you. Somehow, you are a good enough speaker to be able to talk to a customer and make the sale. Many of us are actually good speakers but when it comes to public speaking we allow our negative thought to take over and tell our self that we are not able to do it well. We get that negative feeling that our audience is judging us poorly. That they are not interested in what we have to say.

Let's say for a minute, that we keep a positive attitude about the speech. After all we do know our topic well or they would not have asked us to speak. The people that asked you to speak obviously think that you would be more interesting than anyone else or they would have asked that other person. You have to believe what they believe that you know your topic well and that you are interesting.

Now, you have no problem talking to your family and your friends and those are the people that really matter to your life. These people are strangers why should they get you nervous? They are a bunch of strangers who have enough confidence in you to be informative and entertaining. If these strangers believe in you, shouldn't you believe in yourself. ( Mauro Libi)

So be confident, believe that you can do this speech. Get up there and have a positive attitude about your abilities to master this talk. Get up there and talk loudly and with confidence and be informative, educational and funny. Mostly relax and enjoy it.

Mauro Libi: Practical benefits of sophrology

We continue to talk about sophrology, a scientific discipline that can help man to find happiness through a series of tools that puts at his disposal. On this occasion, we will refer to its practical benefits. The exercises and practices help the development and strengthening of the personality, increasing the qualities of this and to which we referred in previous delivery: safety and trust, harmony of mind with body that manifests externally as flexibility and elegance in the healthy body, and the capacity for illusion for a project.      When the human being manages to strengthen and stabilize harmony between these three qualities, emotional balance is achieved and other abilities of the mind are automatically restored, such as curiosity, observation, concentration, meditation, intuition, decision, reflection, memory and imagination, the latter that envelops everything. While the man is emotionally misfit, he is very ill ...
