Look at the sunny side of everything & and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best. Forget the mistakes of the past & press on the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side as long as you are true to the best that is in you.”

He was a African American pastor and he believed that you had to have a positive view of yourself and everything that you did in life had to come from a positive perspective. You had to change your mind sent to one of total positivity to be successful. he believed that you had a certain power that came from being self confident. even if you are at the bottom and down on your luck, you have to tell yourself, that you will be successful and that you will make it to the top.

if you were to accept all the negative talk that others may say about you and if you believed it , then all would be lost.

He strongly believed that 300 years ago when the black slaves were brought to this country that they were brought up with the concept that they were slaves and not as good as anyone else. Their own self view, which they were taught held them back. When the black community knows and believes that they can be anything they want and can achieve anything they want then they will have a power be successful. He wanted to go into the poor neighborhoods and build self esteem. people from the ghetto had to stop believing the lies that they were not as good as those from the rich community. that they could succeed in school and in business.
