Social networks: Personal and professional account

By Mauro Libi.- Being present in social networks is important, especially if we want to stay in force. However, it is good to take into the content account that we put into them, especially if we are interested in raising a prestige as a personal brand or we want to differentiate the professional practice of the staff. For this reason, many recommend to establish different accounts, one to treat everything related to our profession and the other, to relate to our friends and family.

It is fundamental to administer it, in order to keep a balance in these aspects of the life of every person. The online reputation is very difficult to build. Any inappropriate message can put an end to it. Also, it is important do not mix content and messages between one and another account. Forget the greetings and funny messages or jokes in your professional account. In the same way, avoid the controversies. You just only should deal with your work partners.

It is necessary to know your audience. Therefore, supervise the privacy criteria. Facebook, for example, provides that possibility. On the other hand, common sense is very important, have discretion. Reputation is vital. Remember, there is very thin line between you and your organization, especially if you are your own brand.

If you follow these steps, you will not have problems with your accounts.

First, prevent is better than regret. Just keep your accounts safe because hacking is now a very common problem.

     Second, constantly change your passwords.

Third, don’t use the same password in all your profiles.

Fourth, think carefully when you send a message. Remember, what is poured on the web, stays forever. Deleting a message doesn’t mean it has disappeared. And if you already have reached some popularity, you will have a lot of people watching your posts for what you will say and will do. Just a screenshot will be enough to immortalize that moment or error committed.

Sixth, reflect well before post something on your social networks. Meditate your words, especially if you have already made a mistake.

Seventh, do not handle your personal accounts in the same device or use your cell phone for private or personal accounts.

Eighth, it is best do not post a message or opinion, so be on your personal account to avoid unwanted leaks.

Mauro Libi Crestani: Change initiatives are not just whole scale business transformations

By  Mauro Libi Crestani.  Business hire management teams to figure out new ways to solve customer problems, improve products, create new revenue streams, and reduce costs. This involves creating new ideas for change. Technology, innovation, products and the way of doing business means coming up with new ideas for staying competitive in today’s quick moving market. Every change starts with an idea—a vision of what could happen to create a tangible benefit for an organization. But ideas are not enough. Change initiatives are not just whole scale business transformations. These make-or-break moments can also be leadership changes, restructurings, culture changes, system implementations, operational excellence programs, workforce programs or new market expansions. This involves time and money. Given all the investment in change and its importance to a company’s future health it is important to take note that….. Mauro Libi Crestani: Negative attitude can destroy your career and personal life

I once went into a car dealership for a car purchase. I was meet by a salesman who was dressed in a well ironed suit and he had the biggest smile. He introduced himself by name and he asked for my name. He offered me something to drink as we discussed my desires in a car.  Let me assure you, that you came to the right place. He had been with that dealership for years. His customers stayed with him each time they wanted a new car.  I was told that this car dealership was about positive attitude. The salespeople , the finance  department , the service department all had to be positive that their customers were treated with the best service and that all their needs and concerns were listened to and acted on. I felt so positive that this was the place for me.  I have a married friend  who in sales. He is always depressed and always quiet. He is my friend and I once went to him to purchase his product for my company. He was telling me how sales were down, that he was not sure that he w

How does technology help in business communication?

One of the elements which has undoubtedly worked to support our growth, expansion and excellence projects in the last years, has been technology applied to business communication. I still remember when everything was reduced to memos, billboards, advertisements, photos and one or another printed publication in order to communicate inside the company; at the same time absolutely massive Advertising in existing media was in charge to go to the great public which included our customers and prospects.  Today we can say that with the advance of humankind, communication needed is also appearing. And our times make use of digital communication to improve business processes with more efficient and functional ways which allow more interaction, and overall, business productivity. Technology in communication expressed in the use of Internet, and with it, the Web, social networks, e-mails, multimedia resources (videos, infographics, memes, podcast, live broadcast, etc.); joined wi
