Mauro Libi: Success starts with self discipline

Dwayne Johnson, many of you better know him as the 'Rock' is a true success story. In 1995 he had seven bucks in his pocket. He is quoted as saying at that time that he knew two things. 1. He is broke as hell. 2. One day he will not be.  He knew that he had to make changes in his life to change his direction. That meant he had to evaluate what was standing in the way of his success and get rid of those obstacles. Look into your company and see what is holding you back from achieving your goal.  Next he accepted responsibility for his mistakes and he found that over time he could gain control of those situations and turn those loses into wins. To do this he had to focus on his goals and objectives and next he had to put in the effort required to reach those goals. He is quoted as saying, "consistent hard work brings success". As he did that he found that each day he had more and more control of his own success. Success seldom just happens, it's tak

Mauro Libi: If you believe in yourself and in your product so you can be a successful person

There have been many articles written on how a positive frame of mind is necessary for one to be successful in life. It is important to have a positive attitude whether it is in your personal life or in your business life. If you believe in yourself and in your product then chances are so will your friends and customers. We now will take this one important step further. There is a concept called the "power of the word -yes". You can not and should not sell something to a customer that they do not want or do not need. That is ethically and morally wrong and in the long run, you will lose by doing that. If your customer wants your product and can benefit from it, then it is best to let them become aware of that. Do not try to sell the product to them. Just help them realize the benefits that dealing with you and your company will bring them. The best way to have them become aware of this is to have them work it out in their mind by asking them questions about their n

Mauro Libi: How to negotiate when you are not an expert trader

Trading in these complex times require extraordinary skills, especially if the partners belong to other cultures. The trading rules are varied. At first it is important to understand that everything in the business world can be negotiated. Local businesses looking to expand into the international market should drive the negotiations always based on knowledge of the product to be exported and the market that is intended to penetrate. Entrepreneurs proposed goals should be to expand, open up new markets, gain more customers. Today's market is a global economy. If you want to make more money, then you must learn how to trade across borders, think globally, and make the necessary adjustments to adapt your operations, to the demands of international markets. Entrepreneurs seeking international objectives must execute a marketing plan that includes strategies to adapt to new consumer. Also should set the pricing structure  to each different market by considering aspect

Mauro Libi: The consumer must always be satisfied

For a business to be successful consumers should be excited about the product or service they receive. Entrepreneurs must be clear that today's consumer is much more aware of its power, is less loyal to brands and does not hesitate to express their emotions through multiple channels of communication that technology offers today. Employers should strengthen its efforts to satisfy its customers. Your customers must not only see the value in their association with your company but their experience should have an added value.  When we talk about added value, we refer to the advantages of your product or service, in which you distinguish yourself and far exceed expectations of your customers. Many experts recommend that companies should monitor daily the customer experience in relation to the product or service in order to improve what is not optimal. That means improving the quality of human resources, since employees are the physical side of our business. Customer  serv

Mauro Libi: Professional success and personal fulfillment

Many have told me that achieving success in a profession is based on personal fulfillment. For some, success is as simple as achieving the goals they’ve set for themselves. Achieving success in one’s work requires perseverance, work, concentration, and above all, a positive attitude. Your desire to achieve success should motivate you every day. Those who wish to achieve success should strive every day and look for ways to improve their work. Work must be done ethically, professionally, and with the goal of being the best in the branch. If you meet the assigned functions, this will demonstrate both your initiative and dedication. The person who seeks success in business must stay focused. Successful people know prioritize and delegate tasks. The goal is to focus on what is most valuable for the business. From time to time, one should check the actions, the steps that have been taken, to see if they have been efficient in the tasks required to achieve business success.

Mauro Libi: One second is the difference between success and failure.

Libi: I love baseball. I love going to the stadium. Picture this scenario. The bases are loaded and its the ninth inning. There are two outs. Your team is down by one run. The pitched ball is thrown to the batter and you hit the ball and it goes 390 feet. It looks like a home run. Your team is going to win the game. Suddenly a gust of wind blows the ball one inch into the foul zone, one inch flying past the poll in the foul side. One inch to the right and your team would have won the game. But it went one inch to the other side of the pole. Success and failure was based on one inch. In the business world being successful or failing can be noticing and being able to read the market and acting in it. One day longer can change everything. Constantly ideas come across us everyday and we do not even notice. The successful person learns to sensitive to what the market will desire. There is a story of the Swiss watch market that controlled the watch industry. In their own marke

Mauro Libi: What is the difference between success and failure?

The answer is acting on your ideas and initiatives. This may seem like a simple answer but it is only simple in hindsight. A successful person constantly looks for ways to be ahead of the competition, looks for ways to be the best. This involves constantly learning and training to be the best in your field. This education and training gives you the ability to think and come up with ideas. An idea doesn't do you any good if you do not act on it. However acting on something new is a risk.  It's never been tested. It may not be accepted by the public. But if you believe in your idea, action is not enough. You have to excite your customers or the general public about your idea. Apple I-phones and its generic cell phone company competition are always looking for new innovations. They always try to come up with new technology first. At the same time for months before their new idea is marketed, they do everything possible to excite the public about the new and coming

Mauro Libi: Successful people know that everything have to be done with pride

Success can even be seen while driving a highway. I once was driving on the road and came to a toll booth. The man behind the toll booth had music blasting away and he was singing and dancing. He had the biggest smile and wished me a great evening. This surprised me because I actually never  saw a happy person working in a toll booth. To me they looked like coffins, the people in them would be there for hours and just hand out change bored every night. I started to look for him each night when I went through the toll. One night I asked why he was so happy. He told me that life was good and he was celebrating life and his future. A few months later he stopped working in the toll booth. When I asked about his whereabouts. I found out that he got accepted to medical school and started school. Here was this guy who had one of the worst jobs one could have and yet, he had a great attitude, he saw a future. Of course one has to realistic. This pre-medical student was. He had bills to

Mauro Libi: How to become a successful businessman

Success is a goal we all want to achieve but have no idea how. There are hundreds of stories of men who have achieved success. If we analyze them all, we come to the same conclusion: Wanting to succeed and working  hard is the key. Experts say that there are several secret to achieve success in what one intends. Some even say that there is a genetic predisposition to being a business winner but more important to succeeding is your attitude, optimism, knowledge generated through a period of preparation while still formulating your decision on a suitable career.  When people possess extraordinary abilities for decision making, which is linked to the stronger emotional intelligence, it goes tummy a better chance of getting what they wants. Successful people dream big. These dreams turn into ideas. Acting on those ideas can grow into a million dollar business. To go from idea to action, you must have a sense of direction, which can lead to a strategic roadmap. Accept respo

Mauro Libi: Be optimistic, being a visionary is to be successful

There are many successful men who have been through many obstacles on their road to success. Stories abound of their troubled path. One of the world's richest men, Bill Gates unveiled his misfortunes before coming to savor the victory with his company Microsoft. Gates has said in his public presentations that positive attitude towards the great social changes of the present time allowed him to reach the pinnacle of success. It is often said that the use of intelligence and positive attitude is the engine that has made some of the world's richest man. Gates invested many days and years in the process of inventing the software. Only stopping to eat and get some sleep. His focus was on a target. He was going to make his vision a reality and he was sure he was going to achieve. In an interview published in the country of Spain, Gates said his success was due to acting on business decisions that later became good, but initially was seen as risky and sometimes cra

Mauro Libi: Is it possible to grow in times of crisis?

To the question it is possible to grow in times of crisis, my answer is always yes. Yes, you can grow and make money in bad times but for that to happen we must bear in mind that the crisis will not disappear because people want to.  Economic  crises are cycles and as such require that you change certain factors. The first thing to do is take the crisis as a collective responsibility, and not a single sector. The crisis is a result of economic behavior of societies and in which everyone has responsibility to a lesser or greater extent. Many believe that spending money will further aggravate the crisis, but the truth is that this is not true. The solution to the crisis is not to keep the money in savings and to avoid spending money during the bad economic times. This will stagnate growth of the company because the money kept in an account is useless. The money has to be invested to make more, to get the economy moving. We must be conscious and intelligent when it comes to moving

Mauro Libi: How to motivate your employees to be productive

One of the biggest problems many companies face is the lack of productivity of employees. Although it sounds strange large, medium and small corporations invest heavily to monitor employees to avoid distractions. Companies have implemented policies to increase worker productivity and avoid poor performance. Some companies are putting more emphasis on guided specific objectives for each employee, with the aim of generating greater interest, allowing them to focus on specific goals. They placed the points to be made specifically and to motivate them to achieve that. It is recommended to place on the agenda daily, weekly and monthly goals, while maintaining effective communication with employees. With new technological alternatives such as social network can encourage employees and keep them informed quickly. We must allow employees to express themselves, to express their ideas, and to test their creativity through networks allowing fluid communication between employees

Mauro Libi: How to be an effective person

The big problem of the twenty-first century is time management. Many times we schedule 10 tasks at the same time. At the end of the day we feel frustrated after failing to successfully complete our agenda. What can we do to perform all the tasks we intend to conclude on a daily basis? How can we manage time more efficiently? Successful people do more in less time. They understand the value of time and establish inviolable rules to meet their responsibilities and become more effective. The first thing is to establish clear priorities and distractions. It is important to be very strict with the use of time, learn discipline and complete goals. Many people have trouble concentrating. Therefore you should make it mandatory not to be distracted by avoiding chats, networks like Facebook or Twitter, email or phone conversations. Being organized and focus on completing tasks in real time is important if you want to be a successful person. Another key to success is to be inspir

Mauro Libi: How to establish successful business relationships

On many occasions we have discussed in workshops how to build lasting and faithful relationships with customers and suppliers that will last for many years. It is important to note that building relationships are not instantaneous and require constant dedication. The most important thing is to create and maintain effective communication. Without effective communication there can be no healthy and lasting relationships. We must be clear about the message you want to convey and do it in the most direct way possible.  Satisfying your customers is not enough.  In today's competitive market you have to do more than satisfy. You need to create a fan , a raving fan. A raving fan is a customer that feels that no one else would give them the service as well as you do. They tell all their associates about the care that you have provided and as a result you end off with a lifelong client who refers many other clients to you. To create such a fan in your customers takes much work. T
