Self-esteem is the development of a complete life

   


By Mauro Libi.-  The word self-esteem is composed by two concepts. “Self” is one of them and alludes to the person in and for itself and “esteem” alludes to the assessment. We can define self-esteem as the valuation we make of ourselves.

     Sometimes many of us don’t know what it is or what self-esteem means, for me it is the confidence we have in ourselves, it is the ability to think, to make life decisions and the happiness search. To sum up, is the way how much we love, trust and respect ourselves. Life quality is influenced by how each of us perceives and values ​​ourselves. That is, when we learn to love ourselves in a reflexive way, these emotional benefits are defined by the literature scientific as self-esteem.

     The process of improving self-esteem is a continuous work of personal growth. It is a very important personality aspect, the identity achievement and adaptation to society. It is the degree to which each of us assumes positive or negative feelings about our own value. It is related to many forms of behavior. When we have high self-esteem we have fewer aggressive, negative emotions and less depression than people with low self-esteem. Similarly, when we are elevated, we can better manage stress and, when they surface at the same time, we experience fewer negative health effects.

     In addition, it is a behavior that can be changed because we learn everyday from the people around us and this implies realizing that self-esteem is formed through the observation and appreciation that we make of ourselves. Likewise, we can improve it when we increase confidence in our own personal capacities. In general terms, it is the concept that each one of us has of our life and it is based on all the thoughts, feelings, sensations and experiences that we have collected during the life path.
