Human resources are being restructured

  


  By Mauro Libi.-  The human resources department is not only responsible for employing new work personal and paying salaries, weekly, biweekly and monthly. Human resources should be restructured and reorganized in their different directions and managements. Even these processes can eliminate some directions. In all cases, changes affect workers in the positions movement, which could include new responsibilities assignments and functions, transfers to other dependencies or locations, new professional challenges, status change, new ways to compete and so on.

     Sometimes, human resources managers have redirected their work towards the effective globalization of companies. The economic dynamics has imposed worldwide a decline in markets experiencing a decrease or at least slow growth of organizations. The slow growth in companies is due to the use of technology information, which has come to replace lot human resources. Every time organizations require the services of fewer workers due to automation, management levels have also declined. The commitment required of workers to prepare to face situations, they have to improve their skills and learn other functions.

     The new social reality forced the participation of women and minority groups. We are in the presence of a diversity increase at work. Also, employees estimate that the telecommunications and electronics revolution will improve their quality of working life. Teleworking will be an option with more diffusion.

     Human resources departments should increase their business skills, their financial skills and take on strategies that involve other areas such as computing, marketing, sales, customer relations and production. Human resources areas will require the appropriate staff to meet all these challenges.
