Mauro Libi: Psychoneuroimmunology and sophrology are good keys




     We have published many articles about sophrology, today we will refer to psychoneuroimmunology, which is the newest branch of medicine, which maintains that the individual's beliefs about his environment, his sensations and himself, form reactions that not only are psychic, but also electrobiochemical called emotions. These reactions or emotions go in the organism through two ways: an electrical way that is the central nervous system, and for the hormones through the blood. These two routes go directly to a single site: the adrenal glands that are located above the kidneys and are the ones that produce cortisol and adrenaline. Depending on the intensity or emotion the adrenal glands will produce excess of these hormones.

     We must note that cortisol is a hormone that prevents the reproduction of white blood cells that are the immunological agents par excellence, are the body's defenses. The adrenaline "rises like an arrow" the sugar in the blood, which at the same time, elevates the blood pressure, and puts to work the liver in excess, bringing serious consequences, including the death. This discipline has been growing and developing with great growth in health centers and universities all over the world and has found in sophrology a great tool whose exercise is the psychoneuroimmunological theory par excellence. And is that the great medicine of this discipline is the imagination, it is the visualization, and it is the muscular relaxation, to harmonize and to quickly balance the immune system defenses of the body.

     There are cases of cancer remission and significant progress in patients with AIDS due to the application of this discipline. We think it convenient to return with our warning that when we talk about sophrology and now of the psychoneuroimmunology, we are not making any reference to esoterism, spiritualism, parapsychology, but to pure science, in which mental concentration achieved through simple and brief exercises, lead to the edge of the dream create in the person the sensation of the lived reality of which we have spoken before.

     During light sleep, or sofroliminal level, the brain accepts everything positive that you want to make it learn so that it automatically triggers the sensation of the reality lived. That is, the body will feel full of energy, flexibility, elegance, and that is health. When the person gets sick the first thing that loses is the elegance, because it contracts, is tense. A permanently flexible and elegant body is difficult to get sick, because the elegance and flexibility of the body are the signs of a normal, strengthened immune system. In the convergence of psychoneuroimmunology and sophrology we find a perfect key that contributes to the health and well-being of the human being.
