Surely your work is done through your computer in the office or from
your home under the modality of telecommuting. Anyway, if you work in from a
computer, you will probably have to do these types of responsibilities such
as: work via e-mail, video conferencing,
social networks and so on. Of course, you spend a good part of the day (more
than you should).
In the eyes
of those who see it, you are an expert in the management of all this
technology. Now, I have an important question, do you use your computer
correctly? And I talking about more than
the programs use that we want to refer
to their behavior in front of the computer, because a proper use of your computer
/ laptop can increase your productivity and health. So, take a look of these
useful recommendations.
1)
Check the
posture of your body while you are working. It is IMPORTANT to adopt the
correct position to prevent cervical problems, back or headaches. However, spending
long hours of immobility produces circulatory problems and sedentary lifestyle
increases the risk of a heart attack. Some furniture can be adapted to work,
but if you can’t access to this type of furniture, it is prudent to use some
postures that can help you maintain your health.
2)
Take breaks,
every 25 minutes and take breaks that last five minutes. Rest your eyes by
looking at distant points every ten minutes in order to relax your eyes. During
these breaks do a different activity, walk, take a snack and so on.
3)
The computer
screen should be at eye level, avoid tilting up or down.
4)
The position of
the keyboard should be at a 90 degree angle to your body.
5)
Work in a
comfortable chair where you can adopt a straight back position and legs at
right angles.
6)
Make adjustments
to the brightness of your screen and according to the time of day you work.
7)
If you work
alone, take advantage of the moments of rest to exchange with other people.
This will increase your mood.
8)
Learn the typing
technique so you do not have to look at the keyboard as you type, this will
result in greater speed and less fatigue.
