His church has grown from eight thousand to thirty thousand in the last six years. Joel also wrote a best seller book that speaks to why he has been so successful. His book is called, 'Your best life now'. It is all about having a positive attitude and the wonderful things such an attitude can bring you in life. Joel calls it, the power of positive believing.

Joel said in an interview, "I just think people respond to hope and encouragement and that atmosphere of victory in the celebration that we have each week. There are so many things pulling us down each week. People want to come and get something to lift them up'. Whether it's a business deal that you are trying to close, imagine how receptive your perspective client will be if her feels encouraged by you and your company, that you guys make him feel confident in you and you make him feel like this deal is so positive, will be such a win for him. What a powerful message and feeling you can convey to others. On a personal front, imagine a guy asking a girl out for a date and he makes her feel good and happy. A positive attitude encourages people, it makes them feel that there is a better way, there is a better life. If you have a good attitude and convey that attitude to others, then great things can happen.
