Mauro Libi: Meet the emotional intelligence skills

It has been determined by analyzing the reasons for the success of business leaders, that personality is the key, even more than their own skills at work, if we talk about business, personality is the set of preferences and trends that allows the individual to approach the world. Personality is formed from the earliest age of individuals and is fixed in adulthood defining, for example, if he or she is going to be an introvert or an outgoing individual. Personality is something that once defined remains in time.

It is important not to confuse personality with intellect, nor with emotional intelligence. It is a mistake that many business leaders have made, that they have confused personality to what in reality was emotional intelligence skills. Skills that anyone can incorporate into their lives. Let's see what those emotional intelligence skills are:

1. Go- beyond what is required. For the successful worker, whether executive or subordinate, reward is not a worry, it doesn’t put limits to their work and they are always willing to give a little more. The successful employee doesn’t circumscribe his tasks to the specifications and descriptions that are supplied to him, but is willing to go further without expecting recognition.

2. He or she is tolerant to the conflict neither provoking nor escaping, on the contrary, the successful worker is able to maintain calm and expose their position and look serene and logical while doing it. Resisting any personal attacks.

3. People with emotional skills can distinguish what is important and focus on it. Focusing on the essential, they are not distracted by tricks or secondary ones. The goal is always in their mind. The successful employee is not disturbed by clients in a bad mood or is not afraid with complaints and gossip that are usual in offices. They know how to differentiate between real problems and simple misunderstandings.

4. The successful employee is courageous. They are always willing to talk and to expose their ideas when others are not doing so. If they are sure of what they believe, they stand in front of anyone and don’t stop at the moment they need to confront an executive decision. Of course, he or she thinks before speaking keeping calm and serenity, with wisdom and at the best time.

5. They control their ego. They are not dominated by their passions. They admit their mistakes and show their willingness to do things differently, either because they recognize that it is a better way or by the desire to maintain the harmony of the team.

6. They feel that things can always be done better. They are never satisfied and also, they are convinced that everything is never enough.

7. If they feel that something is wrong, immediately, they act. If it is broken they fix it, if it doesn’t work they repair it.

8. The successful worker is highly responsible. The excuses are not part of their list. they assume what is right and what is wrong.

9. They try to be pleasant and maintain harmony and cordiality with the rest of the people and members of their team. They integrate into the group and have a great leadership. You can trust them to represent the company.

10. Toxic people do not stop or neutralize them, they know how to control them, plus they maintain emotional control over them. They identify their own emotions and don’t allow under any concept that anger or frustration dominates them.

How does technology help in business communication?

One of the elements which has undoubtedly worked to support our growth, expansion and excellence projects in the last years, has been technology applied to business communication. I still remember when everything was reduced to memos, billboards, advertisements, photos and one or another printed publication in order to communicate inside the company; at the same time absolutely massive Advertising in existing media was in charge to go to the great public which included our customers and prospects.  Today we can say that with the advance of humankind, communication needed is also appearing. And our times make use of digital communication to improve business processes with more efficient and functional ways which allow more interaction, and overall, business productivity. Technology in communication expressed in the use of Internet, and with it, the Web, social networks, e-mails, multimedia resources (videos, infographics, memes, podcast, live broadcast, etc.); joine...

Mauro Libi: Social responsibility can improve your financial performance

Social responsibility represents benefits for the society where the organizations are located, but for the companies too , since their effects are also felt in profitability.Just as you read it, it is proven that the risk of affecting the profitability of companies and enterprises grows when there is no specific application of responsibility with the organization's environment, nor transparency and business ethics. It is therefore, essential that organizations incorporate socially responsible actions into their management and, the benefits go beyond philanthropy or timely help that companies can provide to the communities where they operate. The actions of social responsibility are highly beneficial for organizations beyond the immediate effect that their action generates in society, and in the long term, the contribution that companies and enterprises make in their environment help generate a virtuous circle and healthy economic development.  How they do this...
